Great Start to the Weekend

Today will be another beautiful and mostly sunny day with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 60s. Winds will be east at 6-12 mph.

Tonight will remain mostly clear and cool but temperatures should fall no lower than the mid 30s to near 40°. Winds will be east at 6-12 mph.

On Saturday a slow-moving low pressure system will meander from the Plains towards the Great Lakes region spreading clouds across the area during the day. Winds will increase from the east to 8-16 mph. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid 60s.

By Sunday look for cloudy skies with a chance of light rain showers mainly over the southwest corner of Lower Michigan. Temperatures will climb into the upper 50s to low 60s. Winds will be east at 8-16 mph.

Next week will start with mostly cloudy skies and gradually become sunnier and warmer during the week. Temperatures will climb from the mid 60s Monday to near 70° by Wednesday. A slight chance of a shower is possible Wednesday night or early Thursday.

The 6-10 Day Outlook for Wednesday, May 3 through Sunday, May 7 calls for near average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 65-66° with average precipitation of .55".

The 8-14 Day Outlook for Friday, May 5 through Thursday, May 11 calls for below average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 65-68° with average precipitation of .77".

Cooler Weekend

Today will generally be a mixture of clouds and sun. An isolated shower is possible but most areas should remain dry. The best chance for an afternoon shower will be east of US-131. Temperatures will climb to around 70° to the low 70s inland and into the mid to upper 60s at the lakeshore. Winds will be west-southwest at 7-14 mph.

Tonight look for skies to become mostly cloudy with a few showers arriving after midnight as an upper level low pressure system slowly migrates from the Northern Plains into the Great Lakes region. Temperatures will drop into the mid 40s with winds becoming light from the south.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and cooler with occasional showers. Temperatures will range from the mid 50s to the mid 60s, depending on the amount of sunshine and number of showers. Winds will be southwest-west at 7-14 mph.

On Sunday, a few showers will linger into the morning hours until the low pressure system moves far enough east during the day. Temperatures will recover into the upper 50s to low 60s with northwest winds at 7-14 mph.

The 6-10 Day Outlook for Wednesday, April 26 through Friday, April 30 calls for near average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 61-63° with average precipitation of .57" and average snowfall of 0.5".

The 8-14 Day Outlook for Friday, April 28 through Thursday, May 4 calls for above average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 62-65° with average precipitation of .77" and average snowfall of 0.3".

A Few Showers

The high pressure that has been bringing the warm and sunny afternoons the past couple of days is beginning to slowly build east of the state. We can look for partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible. Temperatures will warm to near 70° along the lakeshore to the low 70s inland. Winds will be southeast before turning to the west at 6-12 mph.

Tonight expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions with a few shower moving to the east. Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s with light and variable winds.

Friday will turn partly sunny with an isolated shower or thunderstorm, especially to the east. Temperatures will recover to around 70° with southwest winds increasing to 8-16 mph.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly cloudy and much cooler with temperatures in the low 60s. Showers are likely Saturday before moving out Sunday morning.

The 6-10 Day Outlook for Tuesday, April 25 through Thursday, April 29 calls for below average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 61-63° with average precipitation of .58" and average snowfall of 0.5".

The 8-14 Day Outlook for Thursday, April 27 through Wednesday, May 3 calls for near average temperatures and below average precipitation. Average highs are around 62-65° with average precipitation of .78" and average snowfall of 0.4".

Start And Finish

Today will start with some sunshine and finish with showers and thunderstorms.

There is a possibility for a few severe storms overnight producing large hail and damaging wind.

Partly cloudy skies to start today with increasing clouds during the afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the mid-upper 60s with southwest-west wind at 8-16 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight with lows in the mid 40s. The wind will turn from the east-northeast at 10-15 mph

Friday starts with showers and storms with some sunshine returning for Friday afternoon, highs will be in the mid 60s.

As we head into the weekend look for partly sunny skies on Saturday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms again on Sunday. Highs will reach the mid 60s, which is well above normal.

Early next week bring a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the low-mid 60s and dry weather for Monday and Tuesday.

Exceeding The StandardTemperatures

Temperatures all week will exceed the standard. Average highs this week are typically in the mid 50s and we will climb into the mid to upper 60s.

With the warm air comes the threat for strong showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures will climb into the lower 60s today under partly sunny skies. The wind will be south at 7-14 mph.

Partly cloudy skies for tonight with lows dipping into the low 40s and a south breeze at 5-10 mph.

The warm-up continues on Tuesday with highs in the mid-upper 60s and a mix of clouds and sun.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Temperatures climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s for the end of the week into the weekend with a chance of thunderstorms late Saturday night into Easter Sunday.
